Church Restoration!
On Sunday, May 11th, Minister Heather Feland and congregants walked into our church to the sound of rushing water and small lakes growing through out the building. After running to turn off the water and finding out that it wasn't coming from within the building, North Prairie Rural Water was contacted and shut off the water outside. As we stood to purvey the damages, standing water through out the entry and sanctuary and kitchen and bathrooms and hallway, it was obvious that church was canceled for the day. So many things happened next. Calling insurance and mitigation companies, moving anything standing in the water that wasn't nailed down, and watching the kids splash and bring joy to an otherwise somber situation. Soon the mitigation company arrived and asked that we move the pews, and so many people said yes! The Bloms, Wes Peterson, Greg Feland, Kelvin Faul, the Vriezes, the Moens,! Then it was time to stand back and let the professionals take over. Moving forward, we hope you will join us in rebuilding our church community as we take these next steps of faith.
